Daljit Rehal is a proven leader who has several years of experience in creating business value through Culture, People, Process, and Technology in the utility and telecommunications sectors, covering multiple markets, including the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and the United States.
He has excellent stakeholder management skills and is used to working at Board Level with CxO stakeholders. He has over 20 years of experience in exploiting a variety of enterprise technologies and managing vendor relationships and outsource partners to achieve business objectives.
In his most recent role, as the Snr. VP of Digital and Data and Chief Data Officer at Centrica, Daljit has led the modernisation of Digital and Data capabilities, earning himself internal and external recognition as one of the top 100 Global IT leaders. He has pioneered the adoption of Big Data, AI/ML technologies, Agile methods alongside other commercialised innovations.
Daljit has a particular passion for leading change, focused on customer outcomes. His depth of experience enables him to provide cross-industry leadership to decision-makers looking at the opportunities created by ‘OpenSource’ frameworks. In the past ten years, he has led several large-scale successful transformational programmes in these domains.
Before his work at Centrica, Daljit worked at several telecoms companies, including TalkTalk plc, Hutchison 3G Ltd, Virgin Mobile in both technology and commercial roles. This mix of experience, combining IT and non-IT roles means he can look at problems using, both a technology and a business lens, allowing him to bring both parties together to collaborate.
